AG’s office: City director pay requires voter approval

City directors can't be compensated without voter approval, the state attorney general's office said last week.

City Attorney Brian Albright told the Hot Springs Board of Directors in April that an election may not be necessary to authorize a monthly stipend and annual technology allowance.
