Cold weather is upon us! So many cannot afford to turn on the heat -- elderly, families, and unsheltered. What can I, as a regular person in the community, do? We need coats, blankets, socks, hats, gloves, heaters, if it keeps you warm we need it! Why? So that we can give them to people in need of all ages and sizes!
Why do we need warm hearts? Because during the holidays we ask for donations, for all ages, of toys, books, toiletry items, food and snacks! Monetary donations are used to buy the toys we need for some ages, various items we are short of, for foods and other needs. This is where you, as an individual and a community, can shine!
The reason that Jackson House exists is to help those who are hungry, in need of clothes, warm items, and many other needs. We give hugs and meals, toys and shoes, comfort items and blankets. We are one big family taking care of those who need us.
