The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $15,000 grant to help the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation purchase e-bikes "that will be invaluable tools for game wardens when they need to navigate rugged terrain around the Hot Springs area," a news release said.
"By reducing noise and increasing mobility, the e-bikes will enable game wardens to monitor wildlife and enforce regulations with less disturbance to the natural environment. This new equipment directly supports our mission to provide the best resources to our game wardens, ensuring they can perform their duties effectively and safely," Deke Whitbeck, president of Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, said in the release.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Arvest Foundation for their generous support," Whitbeck said. "This donation of e-bikes will empower our game wardens with better mobility and discretion. They are a game-changer for the enforcement division, allowing game wardens to cover more ground quietly and efficiently."
"The Arvest Foundation is proud to support a wide range of causes including those that protect our state's natural heritage," Franklin Bass, community bank president for Arvest Bank in Hot Springs, said in the release.
"This investment is a testament to our commitment to providing resources that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve," Bass said. "We are proud to help these game wardens protect and preserve our natural spaces so future generations can enjoy them as much as we do today."
